In the beginning...Our business was established in July of 1992 under the name People Making A Difference. We were a non-profit organization with a goal to raise money for disaster victims and working class needy in the area. We were able to help many families with money, food and products we collected. We also sold items from our warehouse to raise funds for the organization. The warehouse was not very shopper friendly and it was coming in faster than we could give it away.

In September of 1993, we opened a 1600 sqft store located in the center of Glassboro. It was an adorable little store that really made a difference. Our clients were able to select items in a clean and organized environment while we raised additional funds.

In 1995 we moved to our current location and soon became the for-profit organization known as Thrift Village. The larger space was quite challenging to manage in the beginning. Over several years, with lots of hard work and education, we grew to become a top-notch thrift store. Starting with a shop run by 2 volunteers, and now operating with a full time crew...we have come a long way!

And now...we continue to serve our community and offer products to disaster victims free of charge. You will find an excellent selection of bedroom, kitchen, and living room items in our huge furniture section. We have a great stock of clothing, linens, toys, electronics, record, books, tools, and much more.

The front of our store is stocked with the most beautiful selection of jewelry nick knacks, and collectibles you will find in any thrift store. Our selection changes daily, so you never know what you may find. Stop in at least once a week or you may miss your treasure!
